New-model news is useful when you can tell a local showroom from a foreign unveil. A car launched in Dubai is not automatically a car you can warranty in Erbil. The arrival that is sourced clearly is BYD. The company's Middle East newsroom says BYD entered Iraq with NAT and launched the Shark 6 in Baghdad. NAT's site, byd.iq, describes itself as the exclusive distributor and lists a range that mixes plug-in hybrids and full electric vehicles: Shark 6, Qin Plus DM-i, Song Plus DM-i, Seal 7, Sealion 7, Seal, Atto 3, Han, and Ti 7. NAT has also described showrooms in Baghdad (Zayouna) and Erbil (beside Grand Majidi Mall).

That is enough to say the brand has a front door. It is not enough to say every name on the list is in the showroom you will visit next week, or that a workshop exists in your governorate. The Shark 6 matters because Iraq's published new-car charts are pickup-led. A plug-in hybrid pickup is a different tool from a Hilux or a Frontier. It needs a charging plan. If you do not have one, it is not a replacement. It is a second conversation. Search BYD for private adverts, and ask NAT what they can actually hand over.

What this roundup will not pretend to list

Gulf brands unveil crossovers constantly. Many of those cars will matter in Iraq later, through official agents or through parallel imports. How to read a real launch when one happens

When a brand does open or add a model, the useful questions are boring. Which cities have a workshop? What does the warranty page say, in the manual, not in the speech? What connector or fuel does it need? Is the spec the hot-climate one? Can you search comparable used cars yet, or is every advert a new dealer car with no independent history?

A parallel import can still be a sensible buy when the price is honest and a workshop will take the car. It is a different product from an agency car with a local warranty. Say which one you are selling. Buyers who filter by origin are trying to avoid exactly this confusion. If you do not know the origin, do not guess a Gulf or US label to make the advert look stronger.

What shoppers can do this week

Look at live stock for the brands you actually maintain in your city. Family crossovers remain the Sportage and Tucson search. Work remains the pickup search. Electrified curiosity starts at electric listings and at BYD's own pages, not at an unsourced render.

If you are a dealer and your launch is real, the way buyers will believe it is a workshop address and a contract, not a banner.
